CABIN FEVER SEASON Song lyric 170

Isolated from civilisation in the wilderness
With a log-cabin for short-term stays and no real address,
Pioneer explorers could get disorientated off the beaten track
But specialise in survival techniques in the natural outback

Winter season means hibernation without much broad daylight,
Spending months staving off depression, praying every night,
Wishing to be further south avoiding melancholy and winter freeze
In a cordial environment, company of friends and a slight breeze.

Negative feelings overwhelm one and the loneliness
Is exaggerated by the weight of dire un-holiness.
Stale smells linger until the passing of each blizzard.
Incarceration by bad weather may distress a wise old wizard.

Intrepid prospector or transient emissary with a destination
Might be delayed en route and use the accommodation.
For protection from the elements whilst mother nature vents
Her fury on mankind and earth, until in time she relents.

After the thaw, the trek can be resumed without delay
Vacating the premises becomes a ritual from a play.
Rationing the food has added to the pressures that abound.
Survival is celebrated by the birdsong all around..

CAUGHT RED-HANDED Song lyric 133

More than once the culprits were seen,
Defiant, confident and indiscreet.
Their misdemeanours were witnessed,
Caught red-handed in the street.

Last week the delinquent gang
Was noticed pilfering, out to rob.
Losers, loitering with intent,
Caught red-handed on the job.

Daylight robbery, now on camera,
Evidence of their sordid crimes,
Once apprehended, these habitual offenders
Were caught red-handed several times.

CEREBRAL SENSATION. Song lyric 083

Still susceptible to fresh faces that charm
And oblivious to subsequent harm,
We ignore repetitive stresses,
Re-acting only to each others caresses.

It’s the buzz that you feel
Makes you know that it’s real,
A tingle for procreation
Springs from cerebral sensation.

In anticipation of intended romance,
First blossoming while hypnotised in a trance,
This precious commodity grips us
And of our innocence, strips us.

It’s the buzz that you feel
Makes you know that it’s real
A tingle for procreation
Springs from cerebral sensation.

CHANGE YOUR MIND, COME BACK TO ME Song lyric 023

When you admitted that you didn’t love me,
It really made me feel dejected.
Then you told me that you didn’t need me,
I now know what’s to be expected
But change your mind.
Come back to me soon.
Call this evening or
Tomorrow afternoon.

When you whispered that you couldn’t agree
With the way that life should be directed,
You then argued that every degree
Of my couse should be corrected
But change your mind.
Come back to me soon.
Call this evening or
Tomorrow afternoon.

CHARITABLE SACRIFICE Song lyric 068

Articles are always needed
For disaster relief.
So for those who suffer,
We can alleviate their grief.

Any offer is not too small.
Any offer is acceptable
For aiding a good cause,
Any charitable sacrifice is valuable.

Donations are required
For medical supplies.
Volunteers are welcomed
Whenever crises arise

More than public conscience
And incentive to get involved
It takes spiritual awareness
To help get half these problems solved.

CHAUFFEUR-DRIVEN V.I.P. Song lyric 036

Riding in a chauffeur-driven limousine,
Like a top model, film-star or beauty queen,
She can go so many places on four wheels
Make more appointments and swing more deals.

She’s a chauffeur-driven very important person to know
Years older than me but I admire the way she puts on a show.

Involved in a successful business, career.
Seen in society, in public places she’ll appear.
She can make a profit at a stroke of a pen
Smoothly, effortlessly and quicker than men.

CHORA, CHORA. Song lyric 169

Chora, chora you’re a thief.
This incident defies belief.
Whilst I was acting in my official capacity,
I rely on my innate sagacity,
You sneaked by and stole from me.

Chora, chora you’re a fool.
You have broken a golden rule
You eluded police and security guards
With fraudulent use of my gold bank cards
You went on a reckless spending spree

Your feature film of your mini-crime wave
Is going to haunt you to your grave.
Close circuit television in every store
Places you in the starring role for sure.

Chora, chora you’re a head-case
Investigators found you easy to trace.
You stole personal items including my shoes
And left behind a trail of clues.
You never took the shirt from my back though!

CLOAK AND DAGGER INCIDENT Song lyric 073

Describe how it feels to find a knife at your throat,
Describe how it feels.
Describe how it feels to find a blade in your back.
Describe how it feels.
Cold Steel…………………....

Do you recall ? Did you fall to the ground?
Do you recall?
Do you recall the sharp pain in the rain?
Do you recall?
Hard fall……………………..

One more cloak and dagger incident,
You were fortunate to survive the attack.
The assailant was disturbed and repelled.
Now you’ve gained your consciousness back.

Remember red blood, was it warm when you woke/
Remember red blood?
Remember red blood, it was a clot on your clothes.
Remember red blood?
Torn cloth…………………….

COMING YOUR WAY Song lyric 110

The latest attraction has left the coast today.
We have heard that they are coming your way
They will be in town later this week.
Headlines, top of the bill, the stars that you seek.

Every audition discovered such talent last year.
The show’s on the road and it’s getting near.
There’s a choice of sideshows and displays,
Entertaining novelty acts meant to amaze.

The Roadshow is coming your way.
If you attend you can hear musicians play.
The Roadshow is coming your way,
Coming your way, I’ts coming your way.

CORRECT IN MY ESTIMATION, CORRECT ME IF I.M WRONG
Song lyric 034

Look how you bowled me over and knocked me off my feet
The other night clinging to keep my balance in the street
But I thought you’d eventually like to see
How pleasant and polite citizens can be.

Are you following me around looking for opportunities
To break the ice, thinking that a chase through towns and cities
Would corner me with old- fashioned traps and tricks
Short-sighted and narrow-minded friends try to fix?

You don’t cloud my judgement, feeling so headstrong.
Correct in my estimation, Correct me if I’m wrong.

COUNSELLOR AND ADVISOR Song lyric 057

Counsellor advised that difficulties mastered
Are always opportunities gained.
The philosophy is perseverance
Even when the atmosphere is strained
So he continues unhindered in his tasks.

Counsellor advised that action for prevention
Is always better than the cure.
The principle is anticipation
Before any minor details are sure.
See method in your madness wise old man.

He remembers all the proverbs and sayings
As fine examples of logic and common sense
And he explains their meanings in anecdotes
Drawn from his personal experience.

COUNTRY JOE BOY Song lyric 155

Moving from the country into town,
Country Joe never let things get him down.
He figured out a plan
To insure his gear and van
He conjured up a scheme
To invest in a blue chip theme.

All the smoothies tried to take him for a fool.
Country style, our Joe Boy played it cool.
They tricked him out of cash.
He turned them over just like trash.
They cheated him out of trade,
He dispensed them to their graves.

CRAZY ADVENTURES Song lyric 044

We went into town, several days ago
On a regular visit to a movie show.
In the interval she started to weep
The story had upset her. The sadness was deep.

‘’ Crazy Adventures ‘’ became part of our life’s scene,
Making reality stranger than fiction could mean.

I took her back home straight away’
Stopped outside the gate to say
I hoped that she’d recover from the ordeal.
Normal or crazy, at least we’re on even keel.

CRITERION Song lyric 087

Studying ancient and modern apocrypha
About which few people are concerned,
The experts are considered superior
Yet results are slow to show all we’ve learned.

Provisos laid down for peaceful co-existence
Rely on experience and sagacity,
Co-operation may defy resistance.
This tends to outgrow its own capacity.

One criterion itself is the keystone.
Without it nothing stays in place.
One criterion itself is the keystone
Humanity’s only saving grace.

CRY. Song lyric 033

Cruel things that people say.
Cry! Cry! Cry!
About what happened yesterday.
Cry! Cry! Cry!
I am conscious of your guilt
And if you feel the way I felt,
You would Cry.

Cry! Cry! Cry!
Let your feelings show.
Cry! Cry! Cry!
I’ll be sure I know.

Cruel games that sadists crave
Cry! Cry! Cry!
From the cradle to the grave.
Cry! Cry! Cry!
The way everything appears,
Rivalry caused this flood of tears
You should Cry.
