FACING RESPONSIBILITY Song lyric 049

While I’m still young I’ll put her to the test
So that I can put my mind to rest.
All thoughts concerning the possibility
Of one so tender facing responsibility.

There are so many things to consider first
Yet I can’t begin to see to the worst.

Now I can see her walking through the gate
The chiming clock reminds me that we’re late.
Seconds later she’ll be knocking on the door
But I can’t forget that she left me once before

FASCINATING MINDS, FLUCTUATING MOODS Song lyric 052

Float8ing like a passing cloud,
Sunny smiles and stormy tears,
The climate of a character
Pulsates on charts for engineers.

Flashing like a shooting star,
Comet’s tail or asteroid,
Thought processes and patterns
Trace like lasers across the void.

Anger, passion, hate, devotion
Blind confusion, mixed emotion,
Thoughtful learning. mind’s fires burning
Contribute to determine
Such fascinating minds, fluctuating moods.

Tumbling like a waterfall,
A cascade or a fountain spray,
A regulated life may flow
Twenty four hours every day

Crumbling like a derelict,
Dues paid for a burnt out past,
Who applies for renovation?
And new emotions built to last.

FLY MY FLAG Song lyric 151

You can fly my flag,
Share my patriotic pride.
You can fly my flag,
Share my patriotic pride.
You can fly my flag,
Jump down by my side.

You can cook my meals,
Share my tastes in cuisine.
You can cook my meals,
Share my tastes in cuisine.
You can cook my meals,
Join the gourmet scene.

You can drink my wine,
Become a connoisseur.
You can drink my wine,
Become a connoisseur.
You can drink my wine
And enjoy the cordon bleu.

FORAGERS OF FUNGUS Song lyric 176

Strolling through the woodland, oft have I encountered
Several foragers of fungus.
The purposes of most are culinary.
A researcher was the odd one out among us.

A Polish lady on a hillside sought chanterelles
To preserve in glass jars filled with olive oil..
The scientist sought toxic kinds
To study and analyse for his toil.

An Italian signor elsewhere sought blewits
For a restaurant speciality.
Unlike other fungus foragers,
He’s a man of reality.

I, myself, prefer to pick champignons
Or horse mushrooms when they are in season.
However, foragers of fungus
Need no specific reason.

FORGIVEN Song lyric108

You haven’t got a leg to stand on.
Your soul has not been shriven.
You haven’t got a hope to abandon.
How can you be forgiven?

Your protests will go unheeded.
You’ll redeem yourself for life’s been rotten.
Unless your limits have been exceeded,
How can you be forgiven?

Your prayers will go unanswered.
Things seem too good to be true.
If you remember by chance the password,
Who has forgiven and forgotten you?

FROM ONE CRISIS TO ANOTHER Song lyric 111

It’s futile staying around when everything goes wrong.
I can’t keep my feet on the ground. I just float along.
It’s like jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire.
When you want to stop burning, the flames just grow higher.

Since we’re under orders from big- brother,
We’re thrown from one crisis to another.

It’s useless making a point when no-one is aware.
There’s no guidance or advice, no-one seems to care.
It’s like being stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea.
When you’ve lost the argument, perhaps we may agree.

Since we’re under orders from big-brother,
We’re thrown from one crisis to another.
